COLOR CORRECTING 101

Color correcting is a technique that involves using different shades of correctors to even out your skin tone and it can do wonders for you if you do it the right way.
Though it can be a little scary to think of applying green or orange corrector on your face but always remember that it is just a corrector and it will make your skin look flawless once it is covered with a concealer that matches your skintone.
Now the first step to color correcting is knowing where to place different colors. There are mostly 4 shades available green, purple, orange and yellow. The ones that I frequently use are green and orange. Now lets talk about these colors seperately and know where to place them so that you can achieve a flawless complexion.

GREEN : As green is the opposite of red in the color chart, it is used to tone down the redness on your face. It is mostly used on red angry pimples that are not easy to conceal with just a concealer as the redness keep showing from underneath. So applying a green corrector before the concealer instantly tones the redness down. It is also used for people with rosacea.

ORANGE : This color is the opposite of blue in the color wheel so it is used to correct the blue tones that appear underneath the eyes. Applying just the concealer on your blue undereye circles makes them look ashy and grey which does not look good at all ! To properly conceal your dark circles you first need to use an orange corrector to cancel the blue tones and then apply concealer on top. It will properly cover your dark circles and it will not look ashy at all. There are many options available for orange correctors nyx color correcting palette, L.A girl orange corrector, L.A colors orange corrector (my favourite)

YELLOW : Yellow color is the opposite of purple in the color wheel. It is used to correct the purple tones that are mostly under the eyes. It provides a brightening effect and helps eliminate the purple tones that can make your eyes look dull and tired. Yellow corrector is also used to tone the redness down so if green corrector is not working for you try this one.

PURPLE : It comes in shades like lilac and lavender and it can be used to eliminate any unwanted yellow tones from the face. Purple corrector is available in "nyx color correcting pallete".

Overall color correcting can do wonders for you if you do it the right way . It can help you achieve that flawless complexion that you have always wanted.

REVIEW: Essence Liquid Ink Eyeliner

Happy friday everyone! Today I will be reviewing my go to eyeliner that I use almost daily because I don't like gel eyeliners for everyday use as liquid liners are alot easy to apply. I had Maybelline gel eyeliner before but that one dried out so quickly I even tried several methods to revive it but all failed. So I switched to this liquid liner and so far I am really enjoying using it. Coming to the packaging, It comes in a short silver and black bottle which looks very attractive. It has a very fine brush tip which makes it very easy to draw sharp and precise lines especially when applying a winged eyeliner. I like thinner brushes more than the thicker ones as they provide more control and there is less chance of messing up. It has an intense black colour which is why I adore this! It applies wet and dries down to a matte finish within a minute. It does not dry super fast on the eyes so you have to be careful and until it gets completely dry because there is a chance that i...

REVIEW: Makeup Revolution Eyeshadow in "Delicious"

Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing great :) Today I have an eyeshadow review for you guys and I am really excited for this one. Excited because it is a dual purpose product, it is an eyeshadow that works great as a contour powder because it is a cool toned grey shade. Finding a grey contour powder in drugstore is very difficult I wonder why they make such muddy orangey contour powders. People often use bronzers to contour but that is totally wrong. Bronzer is for warming up the face and contour is for slimming down the face by creating natural looking shadows. As shadows are grey in color so a grey toned powder is perfect to mimic those shadows and achieve that sculpted look. This eyeshadow's quality is no less than a high end one. Great pigmentation, silky smooth texture, very less fall out and plus it is super inexpensive with almost double quantity than the regular eyeshadows. Apart from eyeshadow it can be used as a contour especially on our desi skintones. But you ha...

Benefit Cosmetics Galifornia Blush (review)

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing good. Today I sat down to write another review for you. I will be reviewing Benefit Cosmetics Galifornia Blush which I have been using for quite sometime and have alot to say about it. So let's get started! Benefit Cosmetics Galifornia Blush launched in 2017 and I have been eyeing it since then because of its beautiful, fun and colorful packaging so one day I finally decided to purchase it. Benefit Galifornia Blush Ever since I got my hands on this, I cannot stop obsessing over its packaging! It looks absolutely gorgeous in my makeup vanity. It comes in a square cardboard box with a mirror and a good quality brush inside just like the standard benefit blushes. The brush that comes along is very useful when you're on the go. In addition to that, one thing that immediately caught my attention when I opened it for the first time was the smell. It smells very fruity, just like grapefruit to be exact which I really enjoy but if you do ...
